    My thoughts on today’s Melbourne vs GWS match at the MCG… 1. Nathan Jones is undoubtedly Melbourne’s most consistent player and should win their best and fairest. 2. Although the Gold Coast Suns were beaten by them during the year, I believe based on their list (especially there established players such as Ablett, etc.) are a better team after watching today’s performance by GWS. 3. Melbourne’s veteran players seem to only be able to perform against second rate teams. I understand Dee’s fans will love a win today but if they off loaded most of the players who let them down every week such as Sylvia, Davey and the like; they would be in the same position as the Giants are now. Is that the right way to go? Maybe, maybe not. 4. Johnny Patton should have tried and get some of the footy in his second AFL match rather than start piss weak jumper-punch-ons with his opposition because he could not take a contested mark. Don’t get sucked in to that sort of shit and play the football your meant to as a number one draft pick.
